On February 23, at about 1130 hours, a correctional officer was attacked at the California Men’s Colony (CMC). Inmate Robledo was non-compliant with staff’s orders and charged at an officer yelling “I’m going to kill you!” An officer used pepper spray with no effect and Inmate Robledo grabbed a 6” dust mop handle and swung the weapon at responding officers. Staff used physical force to force Inmate Robledo to the ground. One officer was struck near the eye causing swelling.
