On December 26, 2026, at approximately 1300 hours, at High Desert State Prison, Inmate Carl Tice battered a correctional officer attempting to escort the inmate. Inmate Tice was being escorted by two correctional officers when he became upset regarding his personal property. Officers attempted to calm Tice, however the inmate used his walking cane to strike on officer in the knee.
Inmate Tice was subdued with physical force and was housed into the Restricted Housing Unit. None of the officers were seriously injured.
