On November 20, 2024, at 1337 hours, at the California Correctional Institution, several inmates formed a riot. Staring with a one-on-one fight, several inmates quickly joined in.
A Code-3 response was called and responding staff had to use (10) OC Blast Grenades, (3) CS Grenades, (7) 40mm Impact Rounds, and a Mk-9 OC Fogger to quell the riot.
After the riot, staff found two inmate-manufactured weapons on the scene.
