Kim Kardashian seen escorted into California women’s prison by security team

Kim and Khloé Kardashian were spotted visiting two prisons in Chowchilla, Central California, on Friday, according to ABC 30 Fresno.

The first prison the sisters visited was the Central California Women’s Facility, an all-female prison, which happens to be the second largest in the United States, as well as California’s only female prison to have a death row. The second prison was located just a mile down the road and was a smaller all-male jail facility that was the home to relatively low risk offenders.

Kim Kardashian, in particular, has become a vocal advocate for criminal justice reform. Her efforts have contributed to the release of several offenders, including a well-publicized case involving Alice Johnson in 2018.

Details regarding the purpose of the Kardashians’ trip to the Chowchilla prisons remains unclear but can be mostly attributed to her love for justice reform.

A correctional officer was attacked and battered by an inmate on February 8 at the Central California Women’s Facility. The unprovoked attack caused injury’s to the officer when the inmate used a metal and plastic chair as a weapon.
