On Monday, October 06, at about 1300 hours, Inmate Jovanny Lares (BU3767) was being escorted by Folsom State Prison officers at Methodist Hospital for medical care. While officers were adjusting the inmate’s leg restraints, Lares ran out of the emergency room which he was located. Lares was in a hallway running towards an exit when the escorting officers and hospital security staff were able to tackle the inmate down and regain custody.
Inmate Lares remained in custody and made several death threats to hospital staff while he continued to receive medical treatment.
