The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is set to close the California Rehabilitation Center (CRC) by fall of 2026. The prison is located in Norco, California and currently houses 2,795 inmates.

This is the second prison in Riverside County to close in a few years time following the closure of the Chuckawalla Valley State Prison located in Blythe, California. The closure of these two prisons in the same county greatly impacts the staff and families as people will be forced to locate to other areas. CRC employs 1,191 employees.
